Azure

Azure has been on the DJ circuit since 2017. Starting as a dub & reggae collector inspired by his upbringing, Azure gravitated towards jungle through putting on nights associated with jungle revival heroes Western Lore. Since 2019, Azure has been a co-conspirator behind jungle event brand Dissonance, alongside ADM, where they continue to contribute to Bristol's ecstatic dance music scene. Azure is a vinyl only DJ who has mainly built his record collection with old skool dance music from the early nighties, inspired by going to raves such as Distant Planet in London. With upcoming dates at festivals including AnExperience & Shambala, Azure is as keen as ever to deliver great underground tunes to the masses! Two years ago I got an invite to join infrared.fm and jumped at the opportunity to join lots of my favourite djs and friends. I play first wednesday of the month from 9pm-11pm and my shows are always a mixture of old skool tunage all on vinyl ranging from 1990-1997 (some new stuff thrown in the too ofc). Plenty of chat on the mic aswell. Part of what I love about infrared is the chatroom which allows the presenters to directly engage with their listeners and feels more present and tangible.
