D3VSY, hailing from South London, began DJing in 1999 at just 12 years old. Inspired alongside friends by the art of turntablism, they pooled resources to buy a set of Gemini XL-100 belt-drive turntables, determined to learn how to “mix like EZ” — and from that moment, he was hooked. Starting out in UK garage, his sound evolved after his brother Libradawg introduced him to FabricLive.03 mixed by DJ Hype — a defining moment that sparked a lasting love for drum and bass. A lifelong raver at heart, D3VSY has spent recent years firmly establishing his name in the scene. Previously performing under the alias Animal, he got his start working security at free and squat parties before naturally progressing to the decks. Since then, he’s played across warehouses, house parties, and clubs from Gloucester and Bristol to London and Ibiza, alongside appearances on respected radio stations including Laylow, Origin UK, Flight London, and Rough Tempo. Today, D3VSY holds a bi-monthly residency on infrared.fm (Wednesdays) and run a regular event at the Four Quarters in Peckham, London. Known as a DJ’s DJ, he prides himself on digging out the strongest releases and delivering high-energy sets packed with fast-paced mixing, teases, and heavyweight double drops.
